Text Below:

 Senator Allen:

I am (design professional, educator, industry member, student - add something briefly about yourself).   I am emailing/ calling/writing today you as the Senate leader who addresses commerce policy in Michigan.  As Chair of the Commerce and Tourism Committee, I am requesting that you take action towards the adoption of HB4770, HB4771, and HB4772 sponsored by Representatives Andy Meisner and Bill Huizenga.

The restraint of trade targeted against small or single practitioner interior design firms must end.   The enrollment of SB1515 and HB4938 will now ultimately make it a felony to practice a profession for which one is not licensed or registered and will put interior designers in jail in this state.  This penalty will also be applied to the schools that teach interior design programs.   The right to practice a profession by qualified individuals is seriously threatened by the enactment of these bills.

HB4770, HB4771, and HB4772 protect the life safety of the public and would help to save and to keep jobs in Michigan.

 Respectfully,

 Your contact information
